Det europeiska organet för telekomregulatorer, Berec, stöttar EU-Kommissionens allvarliga tvivel på det svenska förslaget om reglering av fibertillträde. Det skriver man i ett utlåtande från den 10 januari i år.
"BEREC is of the opinion that, based on the available information, the arguments developed by PTS to define a market for wholesale local access to fibre networks as national in scope are not sufficient and may not be appropriate to inform a detailed understanding of competitive market conditions across the country. BEREC agrees with the ommission on the need for a more in-depth analysis of competitive market conditions in the determination of the relevant geographic market", skriver man i sitt yttrande och fortsätter:
"In the light of the Commissions serious doubts and the argumentation above, BEREC suggests that PTS could carry out a more in-depth assessment of competitive market conditions in the determination of the relevant geographic market in the provision of wholesale local access to fibre networks. BEREC also suggests that PTS could give further consideration to BERECs Common Position on the geographic aspects of market analysis."
