Ventelo: ”900 MHz-förlängningen innebär otillåtet statsstöd”

Post- och telestyrelsens förlängning av 900 MHz-tillstånden innebär ett otillåtet statsstöd. Det hävdar Ventelo, som i dag har lämnat in en kompletterande anmälan av det svenska handhavandet, till EU.

I och med att PTS har gett frekvensutrymmet gratis till TeliaSonera, Telenor, Tele2 och Swefour, så har bolagen fått en förmån av staten som konkurrerande företag inte har fått.

Så här skriver Ventelo i sin anmälan:

”This spectrum, or rather the rights to use it, is a limited resource of great economic value, something which spectrum auctions all around Europe shows. The great value of the licenses in the 900MHz band and the possible prices to be paid in a auction, was naturally the economic reason behind the agreement these operators entered into in order to share the market between them” …/… ”This gives additional support to the claim that the relevant operators were granted state aid. According to Ventelo, there can be no doubt that by granting these licenses to the operators for free, a state aid was given.”
